Seeking Volunteers of Retirement Age
Nepal Orphans Home Inc. would like to extend an invitation to all those approaching or well past retirement to consider the meaningful joy that can be had by volunteering with Volunteer Nepal. We can accommodate any range in comfort level, from staying in a local family's home in a remote village, to a room at the Radisson or Hyatt for Kathmandu placements, being met at and returned to your hotel each day. Our Volunteer House in Dhapasi offers very clean and modern rooms in a newer home that is only a five-minute walk from any of our three Dhapasi orphanages. Staying at the Volunteer House affords great communion with volunteers young and old from all over the world; excellent Nepalese food; and a taste of Kathmandu life, with its Temples, Stuppas, and traditions that date back to the time of Buddha; while being able to repair to the peace and quiet of Dhapasi.

We have many placements in Kathmandu in teaching, helping in orphanages (from our own to the large government facility) or assisting at a baby orphanage. We work with the Sisters of Mercy at the home for destitute and dying, an animal hospital, with journalists in both print and television, and at a number of hospitals from Ayurvedic to a Children's Rehabilitation center. Volunteers from all professions are greatly needed; in exchange you will be provided with some of the most rewarding and heartfelt moments of your life.
For more information or to correspond with past volunteers from this age group please fill out the application form. You will never regret this first step in an exciting cultural experience while helping support Nepal Orphans Home Inc.
