In this assignment you would live with a local family or on your own in Kathmandu. The hospital is a bustling place filled with student doctors and nurses and all manner of patients. The hospital is very poorly equipped and has a great need for non-medical orderlies to take on the smaller but vital chores involved with patient care and comfort. It is at first blush a pretty grim place to be, but with time you will find countless moments when you will feel the pure bliss of really being involved with life and with people at times of their greatest need.
