Provide Medical Assistance

Volunteer Nepal has attracted many doctors, nurses, surgeons, midwives, and other medical professionals to work alongside local practitioners. This can range from assisting local doctors with regular treatments to working with rural health workers to help establish more sustainable standards of health and hygiene.

Volunteer Nepal has a well-established working relationship with several hospitals in Kathmandu as well as several clinics in different regions across Nepal. Many of these clinics are understaffed and work with limited resources, but are the only healthcare options available to people in rural areas.

We have also hosted  groups of medical students interested in observing or assisting with Nepali medical practices under the watchful eye of a local doctor, and have helped groups of medical professionals and trainees arrange medical camps in remote regions.

If you are a medical professional interested in using your skills to help in a Kathmandu hospital or rural health clinic, your skills could make a big difference.
