No experience necessary. The Nepalese are prodigious farmers who can turn any small patch of ground into a bountiful crop. In this assignment you can choose from remote villages or urban community plots.

You will put in long days in the field working side by side and appreciating the humor and faith of these hard-working people.

Placements are limited by seasons, of course. Please inquire early if this will be one of your choices. There is obvious overlap between this placement and the cultural exchange program in which you spend your days working alongside the family you are staying with. However you can remain at the Volunteer House and work neighboring fields, if you are interested in field work but prefer sleeping in a modern house.
