The entire Nepal Orphans Home family is deeply saddened by the loss of life and destruction from the massive earthquake that hit the Kathmandu Valley on Saturday, April 25th. Before the Internet went down, Michael Hess was able to report that all the children of Papa’s House were safe. Our staff and the VN volunteers are also safe. Buildings in the area have been damaged, power has been cut, and basic supplies are running low. International aid is being mobilized.
MANY HAVE ASKED HOW THEY MAY HELP....
It is still too early to know exactly what will be needed. Even before the earthquake, it was difficult to ship goods and supplies to Nepal. We have established a Nepal Orphans Home "NOH RELIEF FUND" which will be used to rebuild Nepal, not only for the children of Papa’s House, but for our extended families throughout the country. If you would like to contribute, then you may do so through the usual channels (personal checks to Nepal Orphans Home, PayPal). Please designate the ‘NOH Relief Fund.’ We will keep you informed of the developments and the uses of these contributions as we recover from this natural disaster.

Friends and supporters in Canada can also make donations through our friends at the Possible Worlds Foundation.
Please direct any questions and suggestions you have to NOH President Peter Hess (firstname.lastname@example.org) and VP Carola Drosdeck (email@example.com). Michael Hess will be extremely busy in the following days and unable to respond to emails. Thank you for keeping Nepal and Nepal Orphans Homes in your thoughts and prayers.
